The Winterville Public Library is part of the broader Athens Regional Library System, which has 11 locations in the area. The mission of the Athens-Clarke County Libraries is to provide information and resources which address the needs of the community, foster enjoyment and a love of reading, and provide a repository of the history and culture of Athens-Clarke County.

Library Board

The Winterville Library Board, in consensus with the Athens Regional Library System Director, recommends reasonable rules and regulations for the operation of the Winterville Library. The Board sets local policies and practices when there is no Athens-Clarke or Regional Library System policy governing that area of service.

Members serve for a three-year term.

The Library Board meets the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October at the Winterville Library, 6:00 p.m.
